About Our Business

Carter Finance has been serving  families in East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and Southwest Virginia for more than 60 years. Carter Finance was originally opened to service the Carter County area in 1953. A branch office  was opened in Mountain City in 1991 to allow us to better serve our Johnson County customers. Carter Finance is here for you. We live with you, work with you, and see you daily. We play a vital role in our community by supporting organizations including the Ronald McDonald House, Boy Scouts of America, Boys and Girls Clubs, local YMCAs, the United Way, the Shriners, Relay for Life, St. Jude’s and various other organizations. Giving back to the community where we live has always been a strong goal of our company.
